Nelson Mandela’s Legacy: Alchemy

The Golden Rule or the ethic of reciprocity is a maxim, ethical code or
morality that essentially states either of the following: One should treat
others as you would like others to treat oneself, OR,
one should not treat others in ways that one would not like to be treated.

The Golden Rule can be found in the early contributions of Confucianism,
but the concept’s framework appears prominently in many religions,
including Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Zoroastrianism,
and the rest of the world’s major religions.

That’s quite a pedigree, as maxims go. Ergo, ought not a learning-impaired
humanity adopt it as the more secular-friendly and simplified
equivalent of an ethical code or morality, more than enough, sufficiently dignified
to bring hope … to this fractious status quo … disordered.

For brothers’ keepers in this fractious status quo, piecemeal peace, is no answer;
but the late great Nelson Mandela’s visionary model may yet deliver
us from the more or less continuous anarchy … that seemingly … ever and ever,
haunts humanity. But what’s good for the goose, is good for the gander.

That’s to say that South Africa’s improbable social and political experiment may be
successful as well on that larger stage that is planetary … in scope;
just like an off-Broadway show that goes on to Broadway … however improbably.
The proof is in the pudding … and its main ingredient … is hope.

And, if indeed, it turns out that what’s good for the goose, is good for the gander,
then why NOT a global Truth and Reconciliation … consider?
For indeed, for brothers’ keepers, piecemeal peace, is no answer;
Nelson’s legacy’s … the power … to forgive and forget … and to live … together.

For verily, what could be more alchemical than that, that exponentially
builds atop the efforts of those whom have built a foundation?
What human experience better exemplifies the human spirit than the legacy
of Nelson Mandela’s model of Truth and … Reconciliation?

Where There’s a Will … There’s a Way (II)

Berlin Wall lights: Might NASA consider organizing waves of light to, our global solidarity … fave? http://a.msn.com/01/en-us/AA7c4f1 … #twitterfiction

Moving walls of light and reciprocal light shows from space; my suggestion
to NASA to celebrate global citizenship day … in #twitterfiction.

#Twitterfiction: Two-way light shows to and from space and Earth was my way
for NASA to celebrate a proposed … global citizenship … day.

#Twitterfiction: Light shows to and from space and Earth … my way,
in AN ATLAS, POETIC, for a globe’s celebration, of global citizenship day.

Alas, NASA didn’t respond; for there’s no such thing as global citizenship day.
But in #twitterfiction … where there’s a will … there’s a way.

Nonetheless, although there’s no such thing as global citizenship day,
in #twitterfiction, God willing, where there is will … there is a way.

On Using Twitter’s One Hundred Forty Characters to Pen … Rhyming Poetry

Harder to write and to read than prose, but poetry expresses far more elegantly,
passionately and emotively than one may ever aspire to … prosaically.

A form of written expression … so seemingly … like lyrical hymn,
has been … historically … seemingly been … favored by Him.

To wit, the superlative verse of the great poets, amongst them,
Ovid, Emily, Robert … and the immortal … William.

Shakespeare’s reputation, amongst thoughtful (wo)men, is amongst the best
of the west. Along with the east’s Khalil Gibran, they are the best, of the best.

And so it has been that inspired by Him, Willy, Khalil, Ovid, Robert and Emily,
when one needs a passionate message … do it … poetically.

To that end, Twitter’s one hundred and forty character formula may usefully
construct verses … whether rhyming, or not … poetically.

#Twitterfiction: If, prior to an 83rd character, prospective tweeters bring to end
then a first line, then with a rhyme … you may … end.

Hedge your Bet … on Humanity

To be sure, come what may … hedge your bet … on humanity. 1 Corinthians
14:33 (KJV) so states, “God is not
the author of confusion, but of peace.” In a mysterious morality play, wherein
all play bit parts, albeit ego, all … action stars … are not.

He already knows choices you’ll make … whenever; that’s a good news story
reprised for accomplished and novice sinners alike.
It’s redemptive to know that neither lifestyle, sexuality, nor actual nor imaginary
sin … keep Him, from you. Let’s all win then … alike.

Twitter, Tweet, Tweeted and Tweeting; All New Meanings and Re-tweeted, Coined; All to Waste, When … We’re Wasted.

After Greek, English is the world’s second lingua franca. Its vocabulary and easy
rhymes are at home in song … psalm … prose … or poetry.

The richest tongue by far (by word count) owes its extreme wealth due to heavy
borrowing from other tongues and the quirks of His timing … uncanny.

There are more English-speaking Chinese than Americans; and more Chinese
wits than Americans … perhaps … know a twit … from a tweet.

Tweet is commonly understood … but twit? Twits are taunts. To twit is to titter
or taunt. Hmm. Curiously, our host is Twitter … not Tweeter.

Why Twitter and not Tweeter, albeit, an intriguing riddle, isn’t the point. Rather,
it’s just that more people, than bluebirds, are tweeting … on Twitter.

Twitter filled ready made voids. That it did so with 140 rather than 150 characters;
seemingly genius …. After all … we’ve all gone … atwitter.

Twitter, tweet, tweeted and tweeting; all been given new meaning and re-tweeted,
coined. All to go … to waste … when we are … wasted.

Titters and taunts are tweeted and re-tweeted on Twitter quite mean-spiritedly;
better to be … a poetic writer … good-naturedly.

For global leaders in 2015, unemployment and rising income inequality may
top leaders’ concerns, a World Economic Forum (WEF) study said Friday.

The organization has drawn up a list of the top ten issues likely to preoccupy
leaders over the coming 12 to 18 months … nigh.

While many of the concerns listed have figured on previous WEF rankings,
the experts identified two new headaches … for decisions … pending.

One is rising geostrategic competition, for instance connected with ballooning
tensions between Russia and the West, in fourth place … ranking.

Lack of leadership, moved up from seventh to third; it’s a trend which of inaction
that impacts ” … all the other issues.” said WEF head Martina Larkin.
