MAYDAY 1605: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11, 2020

“In my opinion the highest form of writing — even to prose — superior, is poetry. Both entertain. Both educate. Still, it is poetry’s

persuasive properties, that make it more compelling than prose. Utilitarian is the Watcher’s, poetry. Useful … and free.”

“I was examined by the White House physician. I have no symptoms, of the disease. I have not been tested for the novel,

coronavirus. Britain’s Health Minister has been stricken but I won’t be sickened, maybe, for I am the author, of … my MAYDAYS, novel.”

“Chronically homeless people; they often have underlying medical conditions and they often lack reliable health care. Once infected,

they are far more likely to get very sick or die. 30 percent of homeless people by chronic lung disease already, affected.”

“Stock futures fell sharply on Wednesday as investors worried about a possible fiscal stimulus package aimed at curbing slower

economic growth due to the coronavirus epidemic outbreak. Investors worry what message is in a stock market — roller — coaster.”

“Britain’s Health Minister has been stricken but I won’t be sickened maybe for I am the author and indeed my very own — anti-hero

— in my daily published, MAYDAYS, novel. @WHO knows? Or who knows if I am to become by twists of fate, a sickened, anti-hero.”

“In my opinion the highest form of writing — even to prose — superior, is poetry. Both entertain. Both educate. Still, it is poetry’s

persuasive properties, that make it more compelling than prose. Utilitarian is the Watcher’s, poetry. Useful … and free.”

“The spread of the coronavirus across more than 100 countries now qualifies as a global pandemic, said on Wednesday WHO to Earth,

confirming what many epidemiologists have been saying for weeks: Add this virus to the list of pandemics on Urantia (Earth).”

MAYDAY 1604: TUESDAY, MARCH 10, 2020

“Grant me, my fellow Americans, a Mulligan; a second chance, do-over; one more golf-vacation, presidency. We had a very

strong economy. Then this virus thing, blindsided me. And it’s just not fair. All I’ve ever asked is to be treated fairly. Re-elect me.”

“Faithless in religion, I am faithful, only, to me. I am faithless, that way. Science, everyone knows, is a branch of science fiction.

Fiction — is science. It ‘tis what it ‘tis. Climate change — ‘tis — nothing but outlandishly, alarmist … science …  fiction.”

“No longer a hoax, the coronavirus; I’m coming around to it’s reality. To protect hourly wage earners who may, both work and wages,

miss, because of widespread, spread, of the virus. But payroll tax cuts, on a wing and a prayer, may lessen, pain and rage.”

“My handling of the coronavirus has been classic me. First, I deny it categorically, labeling the virus, hoax. As events erode my

position, I bungle, my withdrawal. My
greatest strength, my economy, I have turned into a liability, telling lie upon lie.”

“Poetry, I recommend, serially tweeting. While one of the effects of this outbreak epidemic can be physical isolation, Arthur’s poetry

mitigates that effect. Taming savage beasts within us, it keep us, connected. Utilitarian is — the Watcher’s … poetry.”

“Utilitarian, the Watcher’s, poetry. Musical, whether accompanied, or not. It is, in my opinion the highest form of writing; to prose,

superior. Well suited for persuasion. Both entertain. Both educate. Still, poetry may be more compelling … than prose.”

MAYDAY 1603: MONDAY, MARCH 9, 2020

“Men won’t change for the better unless forced to. As when a plot-twisting novel virus, comes in. Enters — the dragon. Intelligent

— and moving like water, it’s moving us to do the right thing. If we’re lucky, the virus is just resilient, not … intelligent.”

“If we’re lucky, the virus is just resilient, not intelligent. But men won’t change for the better unless forced to. As when plot-twisting novel

viruses, come in. Enters then, the dragon. Intelligent — and moving like water, it’s moving us to something novel.”

“To something novel we may yet aspire if we’ve been lucky (this time) and the virus is just resilient but not intelligent, per se.

Imperfection, He built into us. Nature herself limits us but still, I say: I can overcome so called, climate change, my way.”

“Social distancing measures include long-term school closures, sport event cancellations on all levels, possibly, suspending indefinitely,

public shopping. But I am not worried. I am actually happy, that the virus … like Vladimir, seems … to favor me.”

“The virus just like Vladimir, favors me. So I am not worried. I am actually happy that Allah/God/Jehovah/Yahweh’s

storied creations; Urantia (Earth, to ye) and ye, yourselves have been entrusted to me, the faithless servant of, Allah/God/Jehovah/Yahweh.”

“I may be faithless but I have an instinctive understanding of science. Science, everyone knows, is a branch of science fiction.

Fiction — is science. It ‘tis what it ‘tis. Climate change — ‘tis — nothing but outlandishly … alarmist … science … fiction.”

MAYDAY 1602: SUNDAY, MARCH 8, 2020

“The old hostilities; festering wounds, we won’t let go. But the virus, now in more than 80 countries, acts irrationally, rationally.

Witness no blitzkrieg invasion but rather, a surrounding, of us. Bear witness also: The microbes may want to speak to me.”

“The microbes may want to speak to me. It would behoove them to do so. If this novel virus is intelligent, then their leader means

— maybe to speak, with me. To hear our terms, in the matter of, their surrender. Or vice versa — if ye know — what I mean.”

“2020: In China, this year is the year of the Rat. America; leave your bias at the door. For the rat in China is shrewd and resourceful. Rat

years are years of renewal. The first of the 12 signs of the Chinese zodiac, 2020, is a renewing, year of the Rat.”

“’Tis the year of the Rat in China, And of the 12 signs of the Chinese zodiac, ’tis the year of the Rat that is first, among them. But renewal

sometimes requires the total destruction of what’s become old and tired and in need indeed of complete renewal.”

“In need of renewal is Urantia. To do it in time means the changes that need to happen have been moved from back,to front, burners.

China, Urantia’s largest carbon polluter with 29% of global emissions may yet be a political and climate-change … leader.“

“China may yet be a political and climate-change leader. But men won’t change unless forced to. That’s when a plot-twisting novel

virus, comes in. It moves, like water. It moves Xi and his brothers to do the right thing. Tweeting serially … a novel … novel.”

“Men won’t change for the better unless forced to. As when a plot-twisting novel virus, comes in. Enters — the dragon. Intelligent

— and moving like water, it’s moving us to do the right thing. If we’re lucky, the virus is just resilient, not … intelligent.”

MAYDAY 1601: SATURDAY, MARCH 7, 2020

“@DrTedros: I am encouraged by your efforts to unleash the power of governments to face up to the threat posed by the new epidemic.

This is not a drill. No time for excuses. Time for pulling out all the stops to stop until next round, a wannabe, pandemic.”

Empty jumbo jets arriving at deserted airports. Masked passengers disinfecting their own seats. Fear lines the faces of airline

executives huddling with me; all signs, of federal bailout plans, taking flight. An epidemic may be … renamed today, in time.”

“The epidemic that has sickened nearly 100,000 people across six continents may be — two variants, of a single — viral, microbe.

That notwithstanding, the less deadly newer version, may be even more contagious, than it’s predecessor, man-killing, microbe.”

“Indeed, I am encouraged by your efforts to encourage governments to face up to the threat posed by this new pandemic. Pandemic.

Just say it, Ted. This is not a drill. Just say it, Ted. Then, just pronounce it, Ted. Pronounce — Dr Tedros … the pandemic.”

“Ted: I’ll tell ye a secret; this viral pandemic having sickened so many so quickly may be a grand opportunity, grandly, disguised.

Everyone’s playing cards close to the vest. If we play our cards right, we may very well be, antiheroes. Heroes, disguised.”

“We may well be antiheroes, Ted. Heroes in disguise. Like the heroes of old, heroic; with a dash of modern imperfections, ironically,

thrown in. This viral threat, whether intelligent, or not is a chance to unify as a family to battle a common … enemy.”

“Public displeasure with global leaders has spread nearly as fast as the virus itself, which has now reached more than 80 countries.

When those leaders point fingers elsewhere they oft point in predictable directions; piggybacking on … old, hostilities.”

MAYDAY 1600: FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2020

“‘Tis today, Friday, March 6, 2020. MAYDAY, 1600. That is to say that it’s been 1600 days, since I moved down, the Trump Tower

escalator. WHO’s reporting a 3.4% virus death rate. WHO better not dare declare a pandemic, except in consultation, with the leader.”

“It’s been 1600 days since I, my chosen one, in good conscience, allegedly, cynically, descended. WHO’s reporting in its prescience

— a 3.4% death rate. But who knows science, like I know science? And science fiction is, my favorite branch … of science.

“Who knows science like me? Science fiction is my favorite science. It’s been 1600 days since I — by regal proclamation

— pronounced my intention to run the country. Don’t ye dare WHO, declare in your prescience, a pandemic. Don’t make that, proclamation.”

“An epidemic pandemic-wannabe has wreaked havoc on international business, sports events and schools; 300 million

students, affected, worldwide. The Vatican’s changing the Pope’s habits. Bethlehem’s on lockdown. Islam’s holiest site — closed, to millions.”

“Fears about the economic fallout caused stock markets in Asia to open lower on Friday, with Tokyo losing more than 3% by the break.

An epidemic pandemic-wannabe is wreaking havoc on us. And we’re way long past when the virus was, a containable, outbreak.“

“No longer containable, an outbreak become too rapidly epidemic is become, in turn, so rapidly turned, pandemic, WHO hasn’t yet

deemed it so. Markets in Asia opened lower. And WHO knows this pandemic, wannabe is on being named by WHO, not giving up, yet.”

Empty jumbo jets arriving at deserted airports. Masked passengers disinfecting their own seats. Fear lines the faces of airline

executives huddling with me; all signs, of federal bailout plans, taking flight. An epidemic may be … renamed today, in time.”

“@DrTedros: I am encouraged by your efforts to unleash the power of governments to face up to the threat posed by the new epidemic.

This is not a drill. No time for excuses. Time for pulling out all the stops to stop until next round, a wannabe, pandemic.”

“Just say it, Ted. Then Ted, just pronounce it. Pronounce, Dr Tedros, the pandemic. Just get it over with. Sooner or later ye, @DrTedros,

shall say it, come what may. Indeed, I am encouraged, Ted by your efforts. But ye can do more. Just say it @DrTedros.”

“@DrTedros: This really looks bad. The global epidemic that has sickened nearly 100,000 people across six continents may actually, be

two variants. A deadly one and another, less deadly. Still the less deadly newer version may be more contagious possibly.”

MAYDAY 1599: THURSDAY, MARCH 5, 2020

“Comes MAYDAY 1600, to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, tomorrow, Friday, March 5, 2020. And WHO may pronounce then — officially,

pandemic — the global community-spread contagion, that has been plaguing us; maybe even, stalking, the compromised, immunologically.”

“Washington State is the focal point of the virus in the US. And if what’s happening in Washington State now is an intentional

targeting by the novel, virus of the elderly, then this novel virus is novel, indeed. As is, my MAYDAYS an equally … novel, novel.”

“I think denial and foolishness in combination with the traditional three-kiss greeting amongst Iranian men have infected Iranians,

disproportionately. Iran’s been a focal point. Bad enough already if this be a pandemic … but what if it’s — an invasion?”

“It has taken more than two months for the virus to reach South Africa. As if the virus took the slow boat from China. The virus

sometimes moves quickly; sometimes, slowly. We are tracking its movements. And we must determine if intelligent, is the virus.”

“Students are now out of school in South Korea, Iran, Japan, France, Pakistan and elsewhere — some, for a few days … Italy

— for weeks. Even if the virus is found not to be intelligent, there’s intelligent design in what’s happening, so tragi-comically.”

“Tragedy and comedy; misery and hope. Intelligent design is what’s happening. Students are now out of school — in Iran,

South Korea, Japan, France … and Pakistan. Plot lines are thickening with each, succeeding, sickening. Uniquely affected, seems Iran.”

“WHO’s reporting that the death rate for the virus has increased to 3.4%. But whether WHO definitively declares a pandemic

tomorrow, matters but little. What matters is me. Only me and my best interests. In other words only I hold power, over … the pandemic.”

MAYDAY 1598: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4, 2020

“What if this virus just wafts when coughed or sneezed into the air? No word yet on social distancing measures; nor insight into

community spread; nor why no one suspects the air we breathe as being a higher, highway than microbes usually, travel through.”

“Some say my streak of good fortune may be running out; that my rocket-man trajectory to the pinnacles of high society — may be

— about to, implode. But ‘tis my good fortune to be a chosen one, just like everyone else, struggling through a long, eternity.”

Andorra, the Czech Republic, Indonesia, Jordan, Latvia, Portugal, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia were among countries confirming their

first cases; Senegal’s the second sub-Saharan African country to do so. May the virus be carried … sans a plane, in the air?”

“Andorra, the Czech Republic, Indonesia, Jordan, Latvia, Portugal, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia; among the countries confirming their,

first cases; Senegal, also; making it the second sub-Saharan country, infected. A virus carried, long distances, in the air?”

“A virus carried for long distances in air. Alighting; with rain and gravity. Crossing borders with impunity. China’s outbreak may

well become by WHO’s pronouncement any day now, pandemic. Comes MAYDAY 1600 — to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. For US, a MAYDAY.”

The global mortality rate, including, now, more than 3,000 deaths is many times higher than the mortality rate of — the influenza

which is less than 1%. Partly because it’s a new disease; partly because no one has built up immunity to it, on Urantia.”

Israel is facing an unprecedented, legal, quandary. And unprecedented as well, is the quandary of the planet at large. As if we didn’t have crises,

enough. We have no confidence in our leaders. No leaders, really, to resolve, our … political … crises.”

MAYDAY 1597: TUESDAY, MARCH 3, 2020

“It’s not about ye. It’s not about me. We are not apart from the universe but an ever connected bit part of it. Yesterday the virus

was west of me. Today, still west of me but suddenly, in the east, also. Rich in irony; a germaphobe … surrounded by … a virus.”

“Rich in irony; a germaphobe surrounded by a host of novel but invisible, coronavirus, invaders. It’s so rich; it’s so totally rich in its

irony it begs, a tweet. It’s not about me. We are not apart from the universe but an ever connected, bit part of it.”

“We are all actors and the world, a stage. Rich in comic irony is a germaphobe surrounded by deadly and invisible, coronavirus, invaders.

It’s so rich. We are not apart from the universe but an ever connected, bit part of it; painfully, visible, invaders.”

“Indeed, we are actors. The world, a stage. What’s happening is nothing less than miracles in series. What better way to save

the day than have a surrounded germaphobe like me, find a way to antiheroically and most implausibly, the day for humanity, save?”

“Terrified am I; as are the guys; Vlad and Xi; and Kim and Mo. For all our much vaunted intelligence the microbes got the drop on us.

Insidious, are they. But don’t worry. I have asked them to take me to, their leader. I shall negotiate with them, for us.”

“For all our much vaunted intelligence the microbes got the drop on us. Insidious, are they. Vladimir and I are, officially, worried.

The microbes are demanding our unconditional surrender, now, they say that we’re completely, on all sides … surrounded.”

“No word yet on social distancing measures; nor insight into community spread; nor why no one suspects the air — everywhere

— being a higher, highway than these microbes,

MAYDAY 1596: MONDAY, MARCH 2, 2020

“As I scramble to respond to the fast-spreading virus through travel restrictions and a widespread campaign of public messaging

on safety procedures, mindful of public panic, I’ve decided that there’s no need, for the public to know, what’s … happening.”

“This will be a long battle. And the public shall know soon enough; as the bodies, pile up the nature, scope and the consequences …

of continued, obliviousness. Oblivious to their nature and purpose are (wo)man. And oblivious too, to the consequences.”

“My fellow Americans: As community spread are being characterized new cases of the novel coronavirus of provenance, unknown.

As a consequence — Americans — like Africans, are to be left, with social distancing of their own. Closures — of their — very own.”

“@WHO may be to blame. WHO, more than Xi, Vlad, Mo and Kim. Blameless are we who would continue to rule ye were I to be

re-elected. Except for murder and high crimes and misdemeanors, blameless, are we. And in closures and cancellations lies, opportunity.”

“WHO may be to blame. WHO may be to blame? In existential matters, punctuation may matter, far more than imagined. Imagining —

I see in closures, opportunity. With exclamation points punctuated, may be, eventually, the opportunities in, social distancing.”

“What a difference a day makes. Just yesterday the virus was in the west. Today, it’s in the East, also. And just like that, America’s,

surrounded. Still, I see opportunity in social distancing’s closures and cancellations. I see opportunity, for America.”

“Just like that — America’s, surrounded. Just yesterday the virus was far to the west of me. What a difference, a day, may make. Today,

it’s in the East. Still, I see opportunity for us in social distancing; if it makes attractive, what we had, yesterday.”
