No doubt, today, Thanksgiving Day, 2012, shall be similar in many ways to Thanksgiving Days past; yet it’ll differ … in a significant way.
This Thanksgiving Day is the last of an era. Next Thanksgiving Day, we may have even more blessed thankfulness, for us … in store.
Or not; that shall likely depend on whether or not we’ve begun to reconsider where we’ve been, where we are … and where we’re going.
It is not good enough to be good to yourself and yours. It is not about you. It is not about yours. It is about all of us … You, me and ours.
It’s not good enough thanking Him for morns, nights, sun, moon, stars, sky, land and salty seas. It’s all about we … not you … nor me.
Absent a sense of solidarity, eventually, when we reap what we’ve sown, it shan’t be pretty; unless by pretty is meant … pretty deadly.
Deadly harvests needn’t necessarily be. Communally, we may postpone, albeit, not necessarily avert altogether … Scriptural prophesies.
